Tia began her dance journey at the age of 11, where she trained in street dance, hip hop, and commercial styles. By 16, she was already teaching and went on to train and compete with The ASH Company. While completing her mathematics degree, she served as Vice President of the LUU Street Dance Society, where she organised rehearsals, led workshops, and trained the team to achieve their first ever 1st and 2nd place titles at the Go Hard or Go Home university competition.

Tia’s love for her culture and heritage has taken her to Jamaica many times to deepen her training in authentic dancehall. She is also 1/2 of the duo Yin Yang Twinz, known for championing dancehall on creative and commercial platforms while challenging stereotypes around the culture. Through collaborations with artists and brands such as Burna Boy, Aitch, ITV, and Samsung, Tia continues to expand the presence of dancehall while staying grounded in its authentic foundations.

Tia is passionate about sharing her knowledge, energy, and cultural roots, helping students not only grow as dancers but also connect to the spirit of dancehall.
